This course aims at IT specialists that have never studied cybersecurity before and decided to improve their knowledge in this area. It covers the practical aspects of cryptography that became a part of everyone's everyday activity, overview of tactics and techniques of the modern cyberattacks including social engineering techniques, threat models that are used to describe the cyberattacks, detection approaches and solutions that can be used to protect your organization. The course consists of real-life examples of cyberattacks that we will analyze through the course together to understand attacker’s tactics and techniques.

After completion of the course, you will know:

  • How to use cryptography to protect sensitive information

  • How to recognize social engineering attacks

  • What measures and tools to use to protect yourself, your product, and your organization against modern cyberattacks

Александр Адамов
Александр Адамов - к.т.н., руководитель научно-исследовательной лаборатории NioGuard Security Lab с 15-летним опытом анализа кибератак. Преподает кибербезопасность в ХНУРЭ и Blekinge Institute of Technology, Швеция. Занимается научной деятельностью, основные направления которой: анализ вредного кода и разработка методов детектирования киберугроз с использованием искусственного интеллекта. Соразработчик европейской магистерской программы по кибербезопасности в проекте ENGENSEC. В рамках сотрудничества с OSCE проведил тренинг реверсивного инжиниринга киберугроз для киберполиции Украины. Александр выступал на разных конференциях и семинарах по безопасности, таких как Virus Bulletin Conference, Virus Analyst Summit, OpenStack Summit, OWASP Conference, HackIT, UISGCON, and BSides.
